Career Fair Provided Me with a New Option

Near the end of the semester, just like every year, our college hosted a Career Fair out on its lawn.

There were stalls from all the major companies looking to hire young and talented new workers. There were also stalls representing different professions and their associations such as accounting, dentistry and phlebotomy. For that last one there was a lot of information offered on Phlebotomy Training. I became interested and took the information with the intention to call later.

This wasn’t an option for me before but the more I researched the more I truly felt that this career would be right for me.

I am so grateful that I made time to go to the Career Fair that day. Before that I was anxious about my impending graduation and being let out into the real world without a plan. Now I know what I will be doing and that makes me feel much more confident about starting this next chapter in my life.

I Wish That Night Never Happened

Here are the names and of the active component soldiers being promoted ...I have always wanted to be a policeman, so I checked out what I will need to get into police academy. While I was looking up the Police Academy Requirements, I saw that for a person to get into police academy, one must not have any involvement with activities that are against the law. When I read that part, my heart immediately sank because I have committed a crime before. I did not commit a major crime, I was just caught drunk outside while it was way past our village’s curfew. Before that, my friends and I were just having fun, sharing laughs and drinks because our midterms are finally done. We lost track of time and it was already past our curfew when we realized what time it was. I tried to go home as quietly as I could, but I was unsuccessful. I sure hope my good performance in school would make up for that mishap with the law.
