Earlier this year, my wife had a baby. When her maternity leave ended, her company told her that they were laying her off. We were pretty shocked. We knew they were cutting back, but we didn’t think they could let her go while she was on maternity leave. It turned out that technically they couldn’t, but since they waited until after her leave was over, there was nothing we could do. They did give her a severance package, but it wasn’t going to last very long. We didn’t know if her severance would affect her ability to collect unemployment. It is very confusing because it varies by state. I told her to look up nevada unemployment online. She found a website that helped direct her through the claim process. She has applied now and we should be getting her first check soon. Hopefully, she find and job and we won’t need to worry about unemployment for too long.

Signing up is easy to do and there are no fees. This site really helped me when I was needing a job in the worst way. I was able to search by job type, location and even use keywords.
